FILING NUMBERS 2013
In the year 2013, 63,158 national German patent applications, 15,472 utility model applications, 60,161 trademark applications and 55,829 design applications were filed in the German Patent and Trademark Office (source: DPMA).
Furthermore, 147,869 European patent applications (source: EPO), 96,221 European Community trademark applications and 86,734 European Community design applications were filed last year (source: OHIM).
