ORAL WRITTEN FORM REQUIREMENT
The European Patent Office (EPO) has changed its practice concerning the admissibility of amended documents of patent applications and patents, respectively, being filed in handwritten form during oral proceedings in examination proceedings and opposition proceedings, respectively.
RHP is of the opinion that this change contravenes the principles of procedural economy and creates unnecessary problems for applicants and proprietors.
